As an Indian citizen we can apply PAN Card in two ways.

  1. Online Apply.
  2. Offline Apply.

1. Online Apply :

Required Documents :  Form 49A .

Steps to Apply Online Without Digital Signature:

We don’t need any kind of digital signature .

  1. Go to official site  UTIITSL .
  2. Scroll down and select “Apply as an Indian Citizen/ NRI” at left side of screen.
  3. Select “Apply for new PAN Card (Form 49A)” .
  4. You will get a new online form49A.
  5. Fill all the details accordingly and submit the form.
  6. Make an online Payment.
  7. You will charge Rs.110 .
  8. Take the print out. Also collect payment confirmation letter.
  9. On the printed form , applicant should affix two same photographs of  3.5cms X 2.5cms.
  10. On left side photograph, sign across on the affix photograph.
  11. And right side photograph, sign below the photo space provided.
  12. On the page 2, sign on the bottom right hand space provided.

Printed form is ready. Along with that you need to attach copy of proof of identity, proof of address and proof of date of birth as per the information provided in the filled-in form.

Applicant is now ready with printed filled-in form, three supporting documents and payment confirmation form.

Steps to Apply With Digital Signature :

Required documents :

Form 49A (Apply & Sign using digital signature / Aadhar based e sign).

Digital copies of Identity proof, Address proof and DOB proof.

  2. Scroll down and select “Apply as an Indian Citizen/ NRI” at left side of screen.
  3. Select “Apply & Sign using digital signature/ Aadhar based e-sign OR Aadhar holders apply using e-kyc option” .
  4. A new online form49A will appear.
  5. Fill all the details and submit the form accordingly.
  6. Make an online Payment.
  7. Rs.110  and extra Rs. 6 for aadhaar based e-sign will be charged online.
  8. Take the print out. Also collect payment confirmation letter.
  9. On the printed form , applicant should affix two same photographs of  3.5cms X 2.5cms.
  10. On left side photograph, sign across on the affix photograph.
  11. And right side photograph, sign below the photo space provided.
  12. On the page 2, sign on the bottom right hand space provided.

Along with printed form prepare hard copies of identify proof, address proof and date of birth proof.

  2. Consult the concern person.

2.How to Apply PAN Card as an Foreign Citizen :

As a foreign citizen we can apply PAN Card only online . The process is same as an Indian citizen but forms will be changed.

We can apply online in two ways.

  1. Without digital signature.
  2. With digital signature.

Without Digital Signature :

  1. Go to official site  UTIITSL .
  2. Scroll down and select “Apply as an Foreign Citizen” at left side of screen.
  3. Select “Apply for new PAN Card (Form 49AA)” .
  4. You will get a new online form49AA.
  5. Rest of things as same as Indian citizen (check the above lines).

With Digital Signature :

  1. Go to official site  UTIITSL .
  2. Scroll down and select “Apply as an Foreign Citizen” at left side of screen.
  3. Select “Apply Using Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) for signing online” .
  4. You will get a new online form49AA.
  5. Rest of things as same as Indian citizen (check the above lines).

For both process you will charge Rs. 1020. Printed PAN card will dispatch to your home to the given address in the application.

Uti PAN card status tracking is easy and simple steps.

  1. Open your browser and open new tab.
  2. Type this link   https://tin.tin.nsdl.com/tan2/servlet/PanStatusTrack                    or simply click this  pan card status  .
  3. A new page will open with some fields.
  4. Here you can check pan card status in two ways one is by acknowledgment number and the other is pan card status by name and date of birth .

4. How to Request Corrections in PAN Card :

We can apply PAN card corrections in both online and offline.

Steps for Applying PAN Card Correction in Online :

  1. Go to official site  UTIITSL .
  2. Scroll down and select “For Change/Correction in PAN Card” at left side of screen.
  3. Select “Apply for change/correction PAN card details (CSF)” .
  4. A new online change form will appear.
  5. Fill all the details and submit the form accordingly.
  6. Put the tick mark, marking the field for applying change or correction.
  7. Make an online Payment. Rs.110 will be charged.

After successful payment an acknowledge form will be shown. Collect this print and affix two photo graphs with size 3.5cms X 2.5cms.

Signature or left hand thumb impression should be provided across the photo affixed on the left side of the form and the process same as below the photo graph right hand (Don’t sign or left hand thumb on the photo but it should be below the photo on given box otherwise application rejected).

Also collect payment form from online.

Now affix the proof of existing PAN, proof of address, proof of identity and proof of date of birth.
